The largest land grain terminal in Russia is being built in the Zabaikalsk Territory

Deputy Chair of the Government of the Zabaikalsk Territory Aleksandr Bardaleev and NLGC First Deputy CEO Aleksei Gradov also attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the development prospects of the newly constructed enterprise, construction of the social infrastructure for the employees, personnel policy, and signed the agreements of social cooperation between the Territory Government and the holding.

Sergey Pushkin said that the enterprise is scheduled to be put into operation in the third quarter of 2022.

"Today the great work has already been done in Zabaikalsk. Currently more than 250 people work on the construction site and after the construction completion, the number of the terminal's permanent employees will be 235 specialists. Although the construction commenced in December 2020, the investments have already amounted to 6 billion rubles. This will be the largest land grain terminal in Russia", said the CEO.

The "New Land Grain Terminal" is a holding company implementing in the territory of Siberia, Ural and the Far East the same named project on the creation and development of the infrastructure for export of grains and oilseeds to China and Central Asia with the use of the "contract farming" mechanism and formula pricing.

The key element of the New Land Grain Corridor is the Grain Terminal Zabaikalsk with the transshipment capacity of 8 million tons per year. In order to ensure the announced export volume, construction of a network of linear (hub) grain elevators in other Russian regions is planned.
